Original “Scrap Happy” quilt as it appeared in American Patchwork & Quilting October 2008.
As soon as my American Patchwork & Quilting October 2008 magazine arrived I was inspired to make this plum colored version of Kathie Holland’s design “Scrap Happy.” I had a mountain of plum scraps and a few orphan plum fat quarters. I even had the plum/purple fabric for the setting triangles on hand. All the fabric I had to buy was the sashing fabric and the backing fabric.

Some details of binding and quilting, etc. I added two borders.:

Thank you ! Its so fun seeing a quilt I made being made by someone else
LOVE the fabrics you chose to make it in! Beautiful quilting.
Thanks so much for letting me know you made it and sharing the pictures.

Mmm. . . love the colors in this one! And you are branching out from feathers – neato! (Although I love, love, love your feather work. . . )
Ooh, It’s so beautiful! ….and the quilting is great, too.
