Plum Scrap Happy

Original “Scrap Happy” quilt as it appeared in American Patchwork & Quilting October 2008.

As soon as my American Patchwork & Quilting October 2008 magazine arrived I was inspired to make this plum colored version of Kathie Holland’s design “Scrap Happy.” I had a mountain of plum scraps and a few orphan plum fat quarters. I even had the plum/purple fabric for the setting triangles on hand. All the fabric I had to buy was the sashing fabric and the backing fabric.

Mmm. . . love the colors in this one! And you are branching out from feathers – neato! (Although I love, love, love your feather work. . . )
