Every August the hummingbirds here become very active. They flutter around the feeders excessively; chirp, dive, swoop and generally act aggressive. I caught them on video this year for the first time. Many more appear at the feeder than earlier in the season. Neighbors speculate that these are the fledglings earning their wings! We have been serving up a quart of sugar water per day.
